Zoo Atlanta and Lyft Announce Partnership
Partnership enhances the visitor experience by offering free rides from select MARTA stations with code ZOOATL
Zoo Atlanta and Lyft, the fastest growing on-demand transportation service in the U.S., announced a partnership to make Lyft a Transportation Partner of Zoo Atlanta. This partnership will enhance the visitor experience at the Zoo by offering free rides – up to a $10 value each way – when passengers are traveling between the Zoo and the Five Points and King Memorial MARTA stations. With this partnership, visitors can easily count on Lyft’s best-in-class service for safe, reliable, and affordable transportation.
To take advantage of the discounted fare, passengers visiting Zoo Atlanta can enter the code ZOOATL into the promo codes section of the Lyft app while at designated MARTA stations. The code is valid when traveling to and from the Zoo between 9am and 6pm daily. Zoo Atlanta is open from 9:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. By offering these discounted rides, Zoo visitors can enjoy the convenience of Lyft service to and from this Atlanta landmark.
“Zoo Atlanta is excited about providing guests with a convenient, cost-effective alternative to driving to the Zoo through our new partnership with Lyft,” said Tracy Lott, Vice President of Marketing and Membership Sales, Zoo Atlanta. “Guest experience and convenience are very important to us, and as a conservation organization, we welcome every opportunity to encourage alternative transportation.”
“We’re proud to work with Zoo Atlanta on this initiative” said Sam Bond, General Manager, Lyft Southeast. “At Lyft, we see ourselves as friends with transit, and in many cities we operate in, we provide important first-mile-last-mile transportation from public transit stops. With this partnership, we’re able to connect passengers with nearby MARTA stations so they can enjoy all the Zoo has to offer.”
Lyft was founded in June 2012 by Logan Green and John Zimmer to improve people’s lives with the world’s best transportation. Lyft is the fastest growing rideshare company in the U.S. and is available to 95 percent of the US population and Toronto, Canada. Lyft is preferred by drivers and passengers for its safe and friendly experience, and its commitment to effecting positive change for the future of our cities.
